Our story

Candles on at four

Camille Dufresne opened Linen in March 2019 in an old linen supply shop on Barnard Lane, and kept the name and the brick. She wanted a place where you could stop in for one good glass or stay for dinner, and where nobody would make you feel you had to know about wine.

Rafael Quintero’s kitchen is small and cooks with the seasons: Georgia shrimp, Carolina Gold rice, collards, persimmons, whatever the farms have that week. The wine list is short on labels you know and long on things you’ll want to try.

What our guests say

  • ★★★★★
“I told Camille I liked Chablis and didn’t know what else, and she poured me a Grüner I’ve thought about for a week. The shrimp and grits is the real thing. We stayed two hours and never felt hurried.”

“We did the Fennimore Ridge dinner last month. Four courses, five wines, and the winemaker walked the room and talked to every table. Best $95 I’ve spent in Savannah.”

  • ★★★★★
“We booked the Back Room for my mother’s 70th, 14 of us. Josie sorted the menu, the allergies and the cake. Nobody had to think about anything except being there.”
